Fever Herbal Remedies

Rest assure, here's a simple recipe you can whip up quickly. It's all-natural being made with water, angelica root, honey, brandy and some lemons.
 

Recipe for herbal remedy to relieve a fever:


RECIPE #1- For Fever (especially Typhus)
Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. - Boiling water
  • 4 oz. - Honey
  • 4 oz. - Angelica
  • 2 - Lemons, juiced
  • 1/2 gill - Brandy

Directions: 

Infuse for half an hour.

Dosage:
 

Drink as needed.

Sore Throat Herbal Remedies

Recipe for herbal remedy to relieve Sore Throat:


RECIPE #1- For Sore Throat
Ingredients:

  • 1 quart - Water
  • 1 handful - Angelica Root
  • Virgin Honey (Liquid Narbonne Honey is a good one)
Directions:
Bring water to a boil. Add your handful of Angelica Root, bring boil to med-low
and boil down for 3 hours. After 3 hours are up, strain and add your virgin honey
slowly while mixing until you get a syrup mixture (make sure you put a sufficient
amount). Wa-la! It's all ready.

Dosage:
Take 2 Tbsp of Infusion every 4 hours starting when you wake up till you go to bed.

RECIPE #1 for Indigestion
Ingredients:
1 pint - Boiling Water
1oz. - Bruised Angelica Root

Directions:
Pour boiling water on bruised root.

Dosage:
Take two  (2) Tbsp. of Angelica Infusion, 3 to 4 times a daily, or every 6 to 8 hours.

Angelica Archangelica

What is Angelica Archangelica? 

Angelica Archangelica is an edible herb that is found in many areas in
Europe favoring London.

There are over 60 different species of medicinal plants that are related
to the genus Angelica. It's physical qualities include a hollow, round stem,
3 to 8 feet tall with large leaves. The plant is used entirely for multiple
purposes.

The leaves, roots, and seeds are all used for medicinal purposes.
The seeds and stems are can be used to flavor liquers. The leaves can be dried
and used in preperation of hop bitters. From using it to flavor liquers all the
way to healing a sore throat, Angelica has many purposes.


History of Angelica Archangelica

In Europe in 1665 the bubonic plague was taking many lives; spreading
through the lands. One night the Archangel St. Michael came to a monk
in a dream, telling him which herb to use to help the victims get
better and protect themselves. It was said that if someone kept a piece
of Angelic Root in their mouth all day, that it would protect the
individual from the plague. This is where the name derives from;
the monk's dream. Europe has viewed this plant as a "magical herb",
for over a thousand years now.

Angelica Uses

Remedy for: Disease of any Urinary Organs, Indigestion, Coughs/ Chronic Bronchitis,
Colds, Colic, Rheumatism or Gout, Pleurisy or even fever (acting as a diaphoretic for
this symptom)
. Exclude using this herb if you are diabetic or are prone to
diabetes, for this herb will increase sugar in the urine.


Storing your Herbs

Angelica root should be dried quickly after being pulled from the ground to keep
there medicinal healing properties. Place in an air tight container and it will
last for years.

There are many ways to treat this plant and store it, just depends on what you want
